Builder Confidence Remains at Six-Year High

This year, many housing markets are gaining their footing back and showing signs of recovery. Due to this positive outlook, builder confidence is at a level of 47 on the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index. The housing market index rates builder perceptions of single-family home sales and sales expectations in the next six months. Despite this confidence, mortgage credit and appraisal issues could hinder the market recovery.
